Gordonsville High School FCCLA, Art Club, and SADD Club will be hosting multiple events to benefit the Smith County Help Center Food Pantry. The first Event will be held on Saturday, January 28, for a day full of fun making pottery bowls. This event will take place in the GHS Art room from 8am-1:30pm. Sessions will be held in 45 minute intervals, and reservations must be made. Families or groups are welcome. There will be a $6 per artist activity fee for anyone who would like to donate their bowl to the cause. There will be a $10 per artist fee if you plan to keep your bowl.
The Second Event will take place on Saturday, February 11th at 5pm. The Empty Bowls Benefit Soup Supper will be held in the GHS Cafeteria hosted by FCCLA. Artists who purchased their bowls may pick them up at this event. Donated pottery made by club members and local artists will be available for purchase with a donation to the Smith County Help Center. The meal will be provided at the cost of $6 per person, or $10 per person including a handmade bowl created by a donor.
