March 27, 2023

On February 2nd, Deputy Nathan Williams observed  Jeremy Darnell’s vehicle sitting at the StageCoach market in Dixon Springs. Due to being previously stopped in the same vehicle and a revoked driver’s license, Williams initiated a traffic stop. Darnell fled the market and continued driving approximately 2 miles until arriving at his residence. Dranell then got out of his vehicle with his hands up.

When asked if anything was inside his pockets Mr.Darnell mentioned 2 glass pipes. After a search of his person the 2 glass pipes were found as well as 20 Perocet’s. The glass pipes were just bought to smoke an illegal substance by smoking marjuana in them.

Mr. Darnell stated Destiny Gonzalez was inside the residence. Ms. Gonzalez had an active warrant. Both Mr. Darnell and Ms. Gonzalez was taken into custody and transferred to the Smith County Jail for processing.
