(Smith County Insider Press) Gordonsville, Tenn. – Smith County Mayor Michael Nesbitt was in his office and back to work this Monday, August 10. After a successful surgery, Mayor Nesbitt has entered his recovery stage.
His neck will be constantly braced for several weeks. While keeping the consideration of his neck movements in mind, Mayor Nesbitt is fully mobile. His next follow up check in will be on September 18. He and his family have a vacation planned for the near future and his injury will not affect their plans.
His intentions are to continue with an abbreviated schedule this week.
On Monday Mayor Nesbitt told us he was glad to be back to work and was overwhelmed with the support that he received during his hospitalization.
Mayor Nesbitt also celebrated his 50th birthday on Monday.
