Coble Seeking Re-Election

July 26, 2016

Road Superintendent Steve Coble has released the following re-election announcement:

“I would like to thank everyone for their support during my first elected term as your Road Superintendent. During the past four years, I have applied for, and received, state aid grants for eight county roads in the amount of $1,491,012, which only cost the county $250,066. I also applied for, and received, state aid grants for six county bridges in the amount of $1,174,151, which only cost the county $82,366. Also, the highway department has put in 51 new roads at the cost of $969,411, using only our yearly budget. We used approximately $140,000 in corrugated culverts, $90,000 worth of county bridge maintenance and approximately $12,000 per year in salt on our county roads for snow and ice. On a daily basis, we run a crew mowing the county right-ways and two crews doing maintenance on county roads. I keep an open door policy for all citizens of Smith County to come by with any concerns or questions and will continue to do so. Again, thank you for your support, and please stop by any time, or call us at 615-683-3326 or 615-683-6727.”
