Business Spotlight: Cellar 53 Winery

August 25, 2015

You may be surprised to learn that Smith County is home to a brand new treat nestled in our very own beautiful Brush Creek, TN. This new gem is Cellar 53 Winery. It is home to gorgeous grape vineyards, a newly constructed facility, and a heap of southern hospitality. After purchasing the family farm nearly 10 years ago, owners Scott and Rebecca Paschal decided that grapes would be their crop of choice and they have been reaping the sweetness ever since.

In early April of this year, they pressed their dreams even farther by opening their very first winery, Cellar 53. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing: The perfect place to plan a nice romantic date night with your sweetheart, or spend the afternoon enjoying the scenery with family and friends. The facility includes a cozy back patio for picnics and socializing; and, a gorgeously decorated event room that can be rented for special occasions such as birthdays, showers, teas, and office parties.

Several special events are in the works for the coming months. Those include: live music nights, farm to table meals, and possibly a local arts festival in the future as well. You can currently purchase several varieties of wine including: Brush Creek Sweet White, Summer Peach, Sleepy Bird Vidal Blanc, Cotton Britches Chardonel, Brush Creek Sweet Red, Independence Red Chambourcin, Windrock Red Chambourcin, Blackberry wine, and Wildberry Wine. They will also be offering white and red grape jellies beginning in September, and have an assortment of gifts that can be purchased. The hours are currently Saturday from 11am to 6pm and Sunday 1pm to 6pm. Beginning in September, hours will expand to include Fridays as well.

Tastings are available during all hours of operation. Private appointments are available on request. Cellar 53 Winery is located at 115 Oak View Drive East in Brush Creek, Tennessee. For more information you can call Rebecca Paschal at 615.934. 3353 or visit their website at www.cellar53winery.com.
