
On March 7th, 2021, the Smith County Sheriff’s office was advised to be on the look out for a possible impaired driver. Contact was made with the vehicle on Cookeville Hwy. and later pulled over after the discovery of registration violations.
The Driver Ms. Audrey Jackson was asked to exit the vehicle due to questionable behavior. While retrieving Ms. Jackson’s license, a folded paper with crystal methamphetamine was discovered. She was placed under arrest, and a vehicle search was then conducted. Inside the vehicle, a marijuana pen was found along with two cut straws with residue.
Ms. Jackson was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of schedule VI, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Ms. Jackson is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
