A new antique store is opening in Defeated, Tennessee, and its owner, Sandra Martin, is excited to welcome customers to White House Antique Market of Defeated Creek for the first time this weekend.

White House Antique Market of Defeated Creek is located at 387 Defeated Creek Highway. The store will celebrate its opening on November 9-11, 2018, from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

The store specializes in primitives, quilts, furniture, picture frames, and much more!

White House Antique Market will be full of Christmas decorations of all kinds this weekend so that shoppers can get into the Christmas spirit and bring some vintage flair into their homes this holiday season.

In the future, White House Antique Market will be open on the 2nd weekend of every month on Friday and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Additionally, customers can visit White House Antique Market by appointment. To schedule an appointment, please call Sandra Martin at (615) 774-3562.

Sandra has dealt in antiques for nearly 40 years and has had booths in antique malls all over Middle Tennessee. She currently has a space in River’s Edge Antiques in Carthage and Defeated Creek Antiques, which is located beside Martin’s Grocery in Defeated.

The White House Antique Market is located inside a house that was constructed in 1903. Sandra used the building as a rental property for quite a while until she made the decision to convert it into an antique shop after the death of her husband.

The new store allows her to pursue one of her favorite hobbies on a larger scale.

Sandra encourages Smith County Insider readers to stop by White House Antique Market and to make time to visit Martin’s Grocery while they are in Defeated for a delightful bologna sandwich on Fridays and a delicious meat-and-three meal on Saturdays.

She also encourages folks to shop local and support local businesses whenever they can.
