For decades, The Walton Hotel has been an iconic historic landmark to downtown Carthage and has seen many Smith County patrons pass through its doors. In September, The Walton Kitchen doors opened to customers offering a family-friendly atmosphere with good service and good food at affordable prices.
The Walton Kitchen owner, Jack Robertson, said, “We want to see downtown Carthage get busier and to be bustling with activity.”
The business’s Facebook page displays specials of the week, such as $5 cheeseburgers. Other menu items mentioned are foods such as catfish, fried chicken tenders, mash potatoes, collard greens, pinto beans, and more.

The Walton Kitchen is located at 308 Main Street, Carthage, TN 37070. Business hours are Tuesday through Thursday from 10:30 am. to 2 pm. Friday and Saturday hours are 7:00 am to 2:30 pm. Sunday hours are 10:30 am to 3:00 pm. The restaurant is closed on Monday.
