What began as a passion that bloomed in a tiny blue shed in Hickman, Petal and Grain Co. quickly spread its roots in Smith County.
Once an elementary teacher, Morgan Olivia Dillard, Petal and Grain Co. owner, decided to leave her career to chase her childhood dream of owning a flower shop.
“My passion for flowers began at an early age helping my mother and father at our greenhouse business” said Morgan. “I recognized the intricate beauty of blooms very quickly.”
For the past two years, Morgan has been creating floral arrangements for every occasion. As the business significantly grew, she opened a larger location in Carthage at 102 Ervin Drive.
As customers enter her new location, a glowing sign reminds you that “the world is yours”! Morgan welcomes her customers to sit on her comfy pink couch to discuss the perfect customized floral arrangement.
“We take great pride in combining beautiful blooms from all around the world to create breathtaking memorable arrangements for every occasion,” explained Morgan. “We offer daily arrangements, floral classes, and speciality gift shop items.”
Customers can expect each Petal and Grain Co. arrangement to exude pieces that portray the personality of each recipient.
Along with friendly service, customers can also expect succulent arrangements, a flower bar, balloon bar, and a cooler fully stocked with beautiful blooms for customer choice.
Morgan also said she strives to maintain customers’ budgets while also providing a unique product.
Petal and Grain Co. is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. However, Morgan urges everyone to check Facebook and Instagram for the latest store hours and for special events.
