Moonstone Spa, formally known as Moon Child Spa and Boutique will soon be relocating to 68B Cookeville Highway Carthage, TN. Owner, Genesis Mitchell opened in February 2021 at 53 Cookeville Highway and will celebrate their new location with a grand opening on July 7th from 2-6 p.m. There will be refreshments, giveaways, and everyone who comes receives a free gift.
Moonstone Spa offers a wide variety of facials, back treatments, full body waxing, lash and brow services. They are continually expanding their services. Each staff member has their own hours of operation, starting at 8 and ending at 6. Services are offered by appointment only. All appointments are made through our website and you can contact the spa at 615-318-8635.
Genesis Mitchell is the owner and founder of Moonstone Spa. She grew up in Gordonsville and graduated from GHS in 2019. She went on to attend Genesis Career College in Cookeville. After graduating college she moved to Carthage and opened her shop. In response to the question what made you want to start your business, Mitchell responded “’I’ve always had a love for everything beauty. When I found the esthetics program, which focuses on enhancing natural beauty, I fell in love with the concept and wanted to bring that to my small town.” She said “being a business owner has helped me become really involved with my community and build relationships that I never would’ve had outside of the business. I’m very grateful for each and everyone of my clients that I’ve got to build a relationship with.”
Mitchell describes Moonstone Spa as an all inclusive safe space for everyone. Each appointment is based around making the client feel comfortable in a very clean and uplifting setting. “We believe each appointment is about the experience and the quality of the service!”
