(Smith County Insider Press) Alexandria, Tenn. – Thursday morning around 4:45 a.m., the Smith County 911 received a call reporting a house fire at 21 Kyle Hollow Lane. Dispatchers advised responding units that there was at least one individual still trapped inside.

Sykes Fire Department and Smith County Central District Fire Departments arrived on scene minutes later and contained the blaze to one area of the home. Authorities say that two brothers were inside the residence and one of them was unable to make it out.

Fire crews at the scene said the flames stayed within the back bedroom where the man died.
