FOUND SAFE: Endangered Child Alert Issued for 14-Year-Old Smith County Teen

Update: Smith County Sheriff Steve Hopper has confirmed that Destiny Hale was found safe in Carthage around 2:00pm on October 1, 2020.

 

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation issued an Endangered Child Alert early Thursday morning for Destiny Hale.

Destiny was last seen at her home around 4:00 pm yesterday, September 30. The TBI has stated that Destiny may be on her way west toward the Memphis area. Destiny is 14 years old, 5’2”, 120 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen carrying a pink backpack and pink blanket. She also has scars on her lower forearm.
