BankTennessee celebrates grand opening of Carthage branch

The newest branch of BankTennessee held a grand opening ceremony on Friday, August 30, 2019.

Construction of the bank began eight months ago, and BankTennessee’s Carthage branch officially opened for business on August 21.

Michael Nesbitt, former Smith County Mayor, will serve as Branch Manager.

Three Smith County locals also serve on the Board of Directors of BankTennessee: Thomas Paschal, Alexander Richmond, and Larry Taylor Wilkerson.

This is the second BankTennessee location in Middle Tennessee.

In attendance of the ribbon cutting were State Representative Terri Lynn Weaver, State Senator Mark Pody, Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions Commissioner Greg Gonzales, Carthage Mayor Sarah Marie Smith, Gordonsville Mayor James Milton Gibbs, serval BankTennessee Board Members and employees, and many local community leaders.
