The Smith County Events Committee hosted the first county-wide Back to School Bash, Saturday, July 30th. Due to uncertain weather conditions the event was moved inside. The future restaurant Nobels hosted the supplies give-away and games and activities were hosted by Freestyle Canvas.
Event organizer Stephanie Winfree said “Saturday’s event was such an amazing day! We had people lined up around the building and down the hill! So many people told us how grateful they were to be able to get school supplies for their children. Some even said they wouldn’t have been able to if it were not for events like ours. The entire committee worked very hard to make it happen! We definitely are looking at moving to a larger indoor venue next year! A huge thank you to The Chamber of Commerce, Nobels, and Freestyle Canvas, and all of our amazing sponsors for making this possible! “
