(Smith County Insider Press) CARTHAGE, Tenn. — A Carthage man was arrested after being found in possession of drugs while at the Smith County Sheriff’s Office Friday, April 21.
According to the arrest warrant, Mark Robertson (46, Carthage) entered the sheriff’s office to speak with an officer about an altercation between himself and a female subject in Wilson County.
Smith County Dispatch contacted Wilson County to verify Robertson’s account, but the dispute had not been reported to them.
According to the arrest warrant, Robertson had left the hotel room where they were staying in Wilson County and drove to the sheriff’s office.
After running Robertson’s OLN, it was found that his license was revoked.
Robertson appeared to be intoxicated, according to the arrest warrant.
Deputy Terrance Adams took a look around his vehicle and in plain view was the presence of drugs, according to the arrest warrant.
A search of the vehicle revealed a white substance that Robertson stated to be cocaine, according to the arrest warrant, located on the floor of the vehicle, three hypodermic needles in the passenger side door, two small bags of a leafy green substance on the floorboard and two glass crack pipes with brillo for a filter.
Robertson was taken into custody.
He is charged with driving on revoked, possession of schedule II, possession of controlled substances and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
