As of 8:00 am on Tuesday, February 16, approximately 14,000 Upper Cumberland Electric customers remain without power. UCEMC released the following statement on their Facebook page:
Approximately 14,000 UCEMC members remain without power on Tuesday morning as additional precipitation pushed through with a brutal storm system overnight. Some services that had been restored went out again as heavy ice and snow caused equipment to fail. We are at work and additional crews from across the state are coming to assist with this disaster. Multiple trees and lines are down across the service territory. Due to the volume of calls reporting outages, our call center is overwhelmed. You may report an outage on this Facebook page Messenger or in the comment section below. We apologize for the call center delays and appreciate your patience and understanding as we all work through this together. Please remember to check in on your friends and neighbors who might need assistance.
