The Lady Owls surrounding Courtney Haley in celebration of her goal vs Stone Memorial
Tuesday October 6, 2026
Smith County Lady Owls hosted Stone Memorial in the final regular season game winning 2-0. This win was the 43rd career clean sheet for Senior Goalkeeper Catie Belle McCarter. She has been outstanding over her four years with the team, and she has led some incredible defenses set before her. The first goal of the game was scored by Aubree Spain who has enjoyed a fruitful season. She was assisted by McCarter, connecting immediately with a goal kick and taking the ball down the field to score. The second goal would come late in the game from Courtney Haley who intercepted the ball back from a Stone Memorial player after a throw in and sent the ball through the traffic and leaving the goalie on the ground to hit the back of the net. This win ended regular season play for the Lady Owls with a record of 11-1, 10 of which were clean sheets, only allowing three goals on the season. This team has been such fun to watch and we look forward to a productive post-season.
