U.S. Representative John Rose (TN-06) welcomed an impressive group of fall interns for 2023. The intern class includes Savannah Sweat of Jamestown, TN, and Cameron Paschal of Brush Creek, TN. They will be assisting staff with constituent services, capitol tours, issues research, and more while working in the Congressman’s Washington, DC office.
“As these young Tennesseans begin their careers, I am honored to welcome them to learn from our team, where they’ll get a firsthand look at how the legislative branch functions and interacts with the many Tennesseans who count on us,” said U.S. Rep. Rose. “These two are a credit to their families and communities, and it is a privilege to have a front-row seat in seeing them pursue their educational and career goals.”
Savannah Sweat was previously enrolled at Regent University pursuing an undergraduate degree in history prior to her internship. Her ties to Tennessee’s 6th Congressional District run deep, given her family has called Fentress and Pickett counties home since the early 1700s.
Cameron Paschal is a recent graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, where he majored in Aerospace-Professional Pilot Studies and earned certificates in flight instruction and commercial piloting.

U.S. Representative John Rose is currently serving his third term representing Tennessee’s Sixth Congressional District and resides in Cookeville with his wife, Chelsea, and their two sons, Guy and Sam. The Sixth District includes Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, and White counties as well as portions of Davidson, Scott, Warren, and Wilson counties. Representative Rose is an eighth-generation farmer, small business owner, and attorney, and currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee and House Agriculture Committee.
