The thirteenth annual Lancaster Independence Day Parade & Fireworks Celebration will take place Sunday, July 2nd, rain or shine, along Highway 141 in Lancaster, Tennessee, with the food and live music starting at 5pm, parade starting at 6pm, and fireworks just after sunset.
Come enjoy the local community’s annual celebration of American independence, with live music, homemade barbeque, ice cream and apple pies. This annual event typically draws 800-1,000 attendees from the Middle Tennessee region and beyond.
This year’s live performers include acclaimed Nashville bluegrass musicians Blue Hollow; Elizabethton, Tennessee’s Watauga Valley Fife & Drum Corp who perform in period costumes from the American Revolution; the Trousdale County High School Band of Hartsville, Tennessee; the nationally renowned Lincoln High School Tiger Marching Band visiting all the way from Lake City, Minnesota; and Abington, Virginia’s Overmountain Victory Trail Association who will also perform in historical costumes.
Storytellers and craftsmen will additionally be on hand showcasing stories and skilled crafts from the American Revolutionary period.
After sunset, an extensive fireworks display will commemorate America’s birthday.
All events at the Lancaster Independence Day Parade are free of charge and open to the general public. Homemade barbeque and ice cream, along with other refreshments, will be available for purchase with proceeds supporting next year’s parade event.
