Carthage United Methodist Church will be hosting its first Victory Jam, July 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. (or whenever), in the parking lot behind the CUMC Christian Life Center. The event will feature musical presentations by the CUMC’s several choral groups, the G Men, Linwood Road, the Gammon Family Quartet and various other ensembles from the CUMC family. Free hot dogs, snow-cones and other refreshments will be available, as well as an inflatable slide and other fun and games for children and adults.
Organizers say that Victory Jam has grown out of a sense of calling within the church, to share the joy and liberation that come with knowing and loving Jesus Christ with the community. If you are reading this, you are invited. Bring friends, family and comfortable portable seating.
