Upper Cumberland Electric Membership Corporation (UCEMC) is looking for a Distribution Engineer to join our Engineering Services team at our Corporate office in Carthage, TN. The Distribution Engineer will support strategic engineering initiatives that strengthen the cooperative’s electric distribution system and support long range operational goals. This position works with the Executive Vice President of Engineering Services on engineering projects, system studies, GIS mapping, SCADA, outage management, meter and smart grid systems, construction work plans, line extension design, load studies, and other technical efforts that help maintain reliability and support future system improvements. The role also assists in developing and executing strategic plans for the Engineering Department and provides accurate engineering data to support sound planning and decision making.
A Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university required. A major in Power Engineering is preferred. At least two years of engineering experience is preferred. Experience working within an electric cooperative is strongly preferred.
