Smith County Prom Shop- March 27, 2021

Looking for a gently used or even a BRAND NEW prom dress?? If you are needing help finding a gown, please come to the first “Smith County Prom Shop” Saturday, March 27th, 10:00-2:00 in the SCHS auditorium. Here you may rent any dress, shoes, or even jewelry you wish absolutely free! All we ask is you return the dress to Mrs. Tia Medley (SCHS) or Mrs. Chandra Gillilan (GHS) the week after prom. There are also some shoes and jewelry available. We hope to see you there and help you pick the perfect dress for your perfect night!

**If you need a dress but cannot attend on March 27th, please see Mrs. Medley or Mrs. Gillilan privately and they will help you get a dress. This is a service for ALL girls in Smith county, whether you attend SCHS or GHS!

  • March 27th, 2021
  • 10:00-2:00
  • SCHS AUDITORIUM

You May donate dresses and accessories to help the cause

Mrs. Tia Medley started a Prom Shop in Warren County, and now she is bringing the idea Smith County.

Tia says, “Now that SCHS and GHS have official prom dates, I can start collecting donations for the first ever Smith County Prom Shop! Basically, the prom shop allows girls to borrow gently used dresses, shoes, jewelry, etc. absolutely free! We all know how expensive prom can be, and I want every girl to have the real experience of prom dress shopping, without the financial worry it can bring!”

“Additionally, we all know how most prom dresses get worn once and then put in storage. At the prom shop, girls will be allowed to try on and take home any dress and accessories they want! I just ask that they return any items they borrow so we can have them for future years. Since this is the first year, I am starting with 0 dresses… my last year in Warren county, I believe we had over 300! Which was such a blessing. So, ladies, if you have any gently used formal dresses you would like to donate to this cause, please let me or Chandra Gillian know by contacting SCHS or GHS.”
