The Smith County Noon Rotary Club recently awarded two scholarship checks to one student from Smith County High School and one student from Gordonsville High School. The Smith County Noon Rotary Club awards scholarships to two deserving students each year that are members of the Interact Club in their school. The Interact Club is a student based Rotary International Program that empowers young people to take action, develop leadership skills, and gain a global perspective.
The Smith County High School student was Ellie Gantenbein, she is currently attending Tennessee Tech University. The Gordonsville High School Student was Lindsay Payne, she is currently attending the University of Tennessee.
