One injured after vehicle jumps creek on Club Springs Road

(Smith County Insider Press) Around 1pm on Saturday, April 22, Smith County 911 received a call reporting a MVA (Motor Vehicle Accident) at the intersection of Club Springs Road and Ferguson Hollow Road.

When authorities arrived on scene, they found a 1993 Honda Accord on a creek bank partially in the water. The vehicle was traveling East on Club Springs when it lost control while negotiating a curve. After losing control, the vehicle exited the right side of the roadway, jumped the creek, and struck the embankment.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Kayci Ferriss, 25, of Buffalo Valley, TN. Ferriss was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center with critical injuries and her condition is unknown at this time.

Dale’s Towing and Recovery removed the vehicle from the scene.
