(Smith County Insider Press)—On the night of June 9, 2018, Bradley Ryan Jernigan (26, Liberty) was arrested after he was pulled over by Officer Hugo Teasley for driving without headlights. Upon talking to Jernigan, Teasley noticed signs suggesting that Jernigan was under the influence of a narcotic.

According to the police report, Jernigan performed very poorly on a field sobriety test.

When first asked, Jernigan falsely identified himself as his brother, Zachary Jernigan. A driver’s license check confirmed Jernigan’s true identity and also revealed that his license was suspended.

According to the police report, Jernigan then consented to a search of his vehicle. During the search, several baggies of a white substance, which Jernigan identified as methamphetamine, were found inside his wallet.

Jernigan also revealed to the officer that he had attempted to conceal a glass pipe on his person.

Following the vehicle search, Jernigan was transported to the Smith County Jail for booking.

Jernigan is charged with driving on a suspended license, simple possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use, driving under the influence, and criminal impersonation.
