Man arrested for vandalism, aggravated burglary

(Smith County Insider Press)—On June 7, 2018, Robert Cody Jones (25, Westmoreland) was arrested for breaking into the Robin Moore Office on Main Street in Carthage, Tennessee.

According to the police report, Jones entered the Robin Moore Office through the back door and then attempted to break through the ceiling, causing damage to the celling of the office.

When confronted by Assistant Chief Carl Brown, Jones was found to be in possession of a firearm. Jones proceeded to evade arrest by fleeing on foot.

Jones is charged with evading arrest, driving on a revoked license, vandalism, and aggravated burglary.
