A sidewalk chalk contest will be held at the Defeated Creek Campground walking track at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 2, 2018. The theme of this year’s contest is “Water Safety.”
Artists will have approximately 20 minutes to create their chalk masterpieces on the pavement around the picnic shelter nearest to the Park Attendant booth and the playground.
Chalk will be provided on the day of the event, but participants are encouraged to bring their own.
Top drawings will be chosen from each of the following age groups:

- 3-6 years old
- 7-11 years old
- 12-16 years old
- 17+ years old
Every participant in the contest will be awarded a Water Safety goodie bag.
