Vehicle Stopped for Speeding; Passenger in Possession of Marijuana and Oxycodone

(Smith County Insider Press) ā€“ On December 7, 2019, Trooper Chris Meness with the Tennessee Highway Patrol stopped a 2009 Pontiac G6 on I-40 for travelling 85 miles per hour in a 70 mile per hour zone.

According to the police report, the passenger of the vehicle, Perry Lee Mason (53, Unionville, TN), was found to be in possession of two 1 hitter boxes containing marijuana, a pipe with marijuana in the bowl, a small amount of marijuana in a separate bag, and 7 oxycodone pills without a valid prescription.

Mason is charged with possession of schedule II, possession of schedule VI, and possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use.
