Two men arrested for theft of property after being found in stolen car

(Smith County Insider Press)— Two men were arrested after Smith County Sheriff’s Deputy Nathan Williams discovered them inside a stolen car. Billy Wayne Boner (46, Bethpage) and Kaylor Lee Jackson (26, Lafayette) both face multiple charges, including theft of property.

According to the police report, Deputy Williams conducted a traffic stop on the stolen vehicle, a red Pontiac Vibe, as it pulled into a residence on Beasley Bend Road in Riddleton, Tennessee.

When Williams checked the license of the driver, Kaylor Jackson, he determined that it was suspended.

A check of the vehicle’s registration revealed that it had been stolen out of Gallatin, Tennessee.

Jackson, Billy Wayne Boner, and a female passenger in the vehicle were transported to the Smith County Sheriff’s Office for investigation.

The female passenger was released without charges. Jackson and Boner were placed under arrest.

According to the police report, after Boner entered the Smith County Jail, a correctional officer located a small bag containing a substance later identified as methamphetamine on Boner’s person.

Boner is charged with introduction of contraband into jail and theft of property.

Jackson is charged with driving on a suspended license and theft of property.
