Suspects in local bank robbery identified, face federal charges

Three suspects have been identified and charged in relation to the bank robbery that occurred at Citizens Bank on Highway 25 in Carthage, Tennessee, last Tuesday.

David Ray Reynolds III (28, Gallatin), Joe Allen Betty III (22, Gallatin), and Tiffany Renee Garcia (27, Gallatin) all face federal bank robbery charges.

A juvenile was also involved in the incident.

According to a news release from the United States Attorney’s Office, the four suspects were found to be in possession of $65,000 in cash.

The suspects could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

Last Tuesday, the suspects fled Citizens Bank after the robbery, leading to a high-speed pursuit along Interstate 40.

The Smith County Sheriff’s Office, the Gordonsville Police Department, and the Carthage Police Department, assisted by the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol, apprehended the suspects when they encountered traffic at mile marker 236.

No one was injured during the incident.

The FBI continues to investigate this case.
