South Carthage Volunteer Fire Department receives UCEMC Cares grant

In August 2018, UCEMCCares Inc. awarded $2,518.08 to the South Carthage Volunteer Fire Department.

According to a statement by Ricky Slack on the South Carthage Fire Department’s social media, the grant from UCEMC Cares will be used to purchase new equipment for Ladder 1.

The fire department also recently received a grant from the federal government.

“These two grants will give the fire department updated equipment for firefighter safety and has saved the taxpayers money inside the City of South Carthage,” Slack wrote.

The South Carthage Volunteer Fire Department is located at 160 Main Street South in Carthage, Tennessee.
