Smith County Weather Report – December 31, 2020

December 31, 2020

by Steve Norris, Smith County Insider Weather Correspondent

A weather system with several inches of rain, wind gusting over 30 miles an hour, and a few thunderstorms will close out 2020 and bring in the New Year! Temperatures could climb as high as 68 degrees on Friday before the cooler air moves in for the weekend. Saturday and Sunday are looking mostly dry with highs in the upper 40s and lows near 30. There is no major cold air coming through January 10th for our area.

I do weather forecasting and keep weather records for companies and anyone needing specific data for your location. This service is available seven days a week, and you just tell me what you need. I provide weather information to construction companies and local governments. I am also writing a book about the weather for our county, and if you have anything interesting I might include, just let me know. I am available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and you can reach me at weather1@charter.net.
