Smith County Sheriff’s Department Plans 2020 Santa’s Shoppers Program

November 3, 2020

The Smith County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with the Smith County Chamber of Commerce again this year to host the 2020 Santa’s Shoppers Program.

Santa’s Shoppers creates an exciting Christmas experience for children in need and fosters connections between children and law enforcement that can last a lifetime.

Applications for children to participate are currently being accepted until November 20th. The application may be picked up at the Sheriff’s office at 322 Justice Drive in Carthage. If chosen for the program, participants will be contacted at a later date.

Through generous donations over the past six years, the Santa’s Shoppers program has been able to take over 500 Smith County children to shop with local law enforcement.

If you would like to contribute to the Santa’s Shopper’s program, please make checks or money orders payable to Smith County Living, Inc. for SCSO Santa’s Shoppers Program. Contributions can be mailed or hand-delivered to the Smith County Chamber of Commerce, located at 939 Upper Ferry Road in Carthage, Tennessee.

Please mail contributions by December 15, 2020.

Also, officers are allowed to participate in No Shave November, and it has been extended it into December to support the Santa’s Shoppers program. Officers can pay $25 per month to participate. If anyone would like to sponsor an officer, donations may be sent to the Smith County Chamber of Commerce.
