Smith County Mayor Recognizes Jerry Wilmore at Commission Meeting

Jerry Wilmore was recognized by Smith County Mayor, Jeff Mason, on Monday, February 8th during the Smith County Commission meeting. He was congratulated on his retirement and thanked for his years of service dedicated to the Farm Service Agency.

Jerry Wilmore was born to Eldon and Neil Wilmore on August 16, 1957. He has been a lifelong resident of the Monoville Community and belongs to the Carthage First Baptist Church, where he is a deacon and a song leader. Jerry started dating Cindy Franklin in 1997 and later married her on March 21, 1998. Jerry and Cindy later went on to have a son named Clayton. Jerry began working at the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS), which later became the Farm Service Agency, in 1984 up until his retirement on December 31st, 2020. During this time Jerry received numerous awards and accolades.
