Smith County Drug Prevention Office offers free chronic pain workshop for Smith County citizens

The Smith County Drug Prevention Coalition and the Tennessee Department of Mental Health & Substance Abuse Services are partnering to offer a free chronic pain self-management workshop to citizens of Smith County.

This six-week workshop is designed for those who suffer from chronic pain or those who have loved ones who suffer from chronic pain. The workshop aims to help participants discover strategies and learn new skills that will help them better manage their pain on their own.

The workshop utilizes a research-based program developed at Stanford University.

The Chronic Pain Workshop will meet at the Smith County Chamber of Commerce on six consecutive Wednesdays from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. beginning on August 8, 2018.

The Smith County Chamber of Commerce is located at 939 Upper Ferry Road in Carthage, Tennessee.
