Nineteen Smith County 4-H’ers have spent the past eight weeks honing their skills and practicing archery in preparation to compete in the State Archery Jamboree which was held Saturday, March 24th in Cookeville. The following eighteen 4-H members competed against over 400 competitors in the largest contest ever. In the Junior Division was Abby Purtee, Callie Barrett, Dalton Beckman, Lucian Carrick, Aubrey Croslin, Hayden High, and Jude Laurie. In the Junior High Division was Gary Claywell, Carson Meeks, Makensie Barrett, Lauren Gregory, Zachary Smiljanic, Isaac Borck, Hannah Borck, and Abby Malone. Spencer Meeks, Ellie Johnson, and Bailey Chapman competed in the Senior Division. More importantly Smith County 4-H’ers exhibited exemplary character and discipline and represented our county well.

We would like to especially thank our volunteer leader, Kenny Claywell, for his time and effort spent training this group.
