For this week’s First Responder Friday, Smith County Insider interviewed Josh Cross, a Paramedic who lives in Brush Creek, Tennessee.
Josh has served as a first responder for 20 years.
SCI: When did you realize this is what you wanted to do?
JC: I have known my whole life. My dad is an EMT-Firefighter, and I always wanted to do what he did.
SCI: What is the best thing about your job?
JC: Being able to help people and actually make a difference
SCI: What is your proudest work accomplishment?
JC: Obtaining my paramedic license
SCI: What advice would you give someone looking to go into your field?
JC: Never stop learning.
SCI: What are your favorite hobbies and activities outside of work?
JC: Watching my son play all of his sports
