Representative John Rose Announces Inaugural Family Farm Fish Fry

September 16, 2021

Representative John Rose announced today he is hosting a Family Farm Fish Fry in Lancaster. The fish fry will be the inaugural event and will be held on October 2,  from 12 PM to 3 PM at the Rose’s  family farm.

“This will be a family fun event with activities for kids, fried fish and chicken from Helen’s Restaurant in Gainesboro and special guests, such as Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton,” said Representative John Rose. “I  look forward to seeing everyone on the farm.”

The Rose Family Farm is the oldest in Smith County, known as the Lancaster Farm. John Rose is a United States Representative and the eighth consecutive generation in his family to own and farm the property, which was settled in 1790 by John and Ann Williams Lancaster. The event is being held on this Pioneer Farm to highlight rural Tennessee and agriculture.
