Tennessee Tree Day is America’s largest single-day tree planting event and is taking place on Saturday, March 21, 2020. To participate, order your tree seedlings by March 1!
On Tennessee Tree Day, you and thousands of other Tennessee residents will collectively pick up and plant more than 100,000 native tree seedlings in all 95 Tennessee counties.
Any seedlings ordered for Tree Day are yours to plant on your own property and will enhance our environment and communities for generations to come!
Tree Day is a project of Tennessee Environmental Council. As a nonprofit organization, we depend on your support for its success.
- Tree seedlings are available on a donation basis of $2.49/tree & 4.99/tree based on species.
- Tree seedling size will range from 1 ft to 3 ft. Species available varies based on pick-up location. To see what species are available at the pick-up location nearest you, you must visit that pick-up location’s order form and click “order trees.” For Smith County, visit https://www.flipcause.com/secure/cause_pdetails/NzI4MTU=.
- We cannot accept cash donations for seedlings at the distribution points so trees must be reserved and paid for prior to the event.
- If you live in a neighboring state, you are invited to participate as long as you are willing to drive to one of the pick-up locations and pick up your tree seedlings during the published timeframe.
In Smith County, the tree ordering and pickup location is the Smith County Extension Office, located at 125 Gordonsville Highway in Carthage, Tennessee. Visit this website to order your trees online. Trees will be ready for pickup on Friday, March 20, 2020.
You can call the Extension Office at 615-735-2900.
