On October 29th, 2021, Sgt. Junior Fields stopped a Ford Explorer after observing the vehicle had a non-working muffler and the driver was not wearing his seat belt. The driver, David Hunt Jr. had a revoked license.
When he was asked to exit the vehicle, a search was conducted and a small baggie of crystal methamphetamine and a bag of hypodermic syringes were located.
Mr. Hunt was placed under arrest and transported to the Smith County Jail for processing.
He is being charged with driving on revoked, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of methamphetamine
He is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
