Man arrested at Carthage McDonald’s for disorderly conduct, DUI

(Smith County Insider Press)—On April 8, 2018, a man was arrested at the Carthage McDonald’s after Sergeant Dusty Hailey took note of his disorderly behavior.

According to the police report, Hailey issued a traffic stop when Christopher Maynard (32, Lebanon) began to shout and gesture at the officer and at McDonald’s employees. Hailey noted that Maynard appeared to be under the influence.

Maynard failed a field sobriety test, and two grams of crystal meth and an open alcoholic beverage were found during a search of his vehicle.

Maynard was transported to the Smith County Jail for processing.

Maynard is charged with counts of driving under the influence, driving on a revoked license, disorderly conduct, and the manufacture/deliver/sell of a controlled substance.

Maynard was previously convicted of DUI in Smith County in February 2008.
