Izzy Cruz-In Benefit and Scott Allmon Memorial Poker Run scheduled for October 6-7, 2018

The Justified Riding Club and Caney Fork CMT Abate will be holding their annual Izzy Cruz-In Benefit and Scott Allmon Memorial Poker Run on October 6 and 7, 2018.

Saturday, October 6, 2018, will be a family friendly day at Defeated Creek Marina with face painting, pumpkin painting, games, bounce houses, movies and more for the kids. The event will also feature a car and bike show, auction, vendors, food, bands, and more.

Defeated Creek Marina is located at 160 Marine Drive in Carthage, Tennessee. Gates will open at 10:00 a.m. Tickets can be purchased for $5. Children 10 and under get in free.

The day’s entertainment will be provided by:

  • Tennessee Bound ft. Becca Lynn
  • Make Some Noise Events
  • Shattered
  • Arvie & Bunny
  • Cody with open picking and grinning to finish off the night

There will be a poker run on Sunday October 7, 2018, leaving from Shell in Gordonsville ( 482 Gordonsville Hwy. Gordonsville, TN ) to honor Scott Allmon who lost his life leaving the first Izzy Event.

The Gordonsville Shell is located at 482 Gordonsville Highway. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m., and the run will begin at 11:00 a.m.

Izzy Gates is a student at Carthage Elementary and lost her leg in a four wheeler accident when she was 4 years old. Her parents are Ben & Cassandra Gates of Carthage. Scott Allmon was a resident of Elmwood.

Lat year the proceeds from the benefit event went to a charity of Izzy’s choice, which was Nub Ability, a charity that supports a girl who has been battling cancer & health issues off and on for several years, Izzy also chose to donate to a foster family who took in a little girl who had to have her hand removed, and Izzy gave additional money to contribute to two high school scholarships in Macon and Smith Counties.
