“It’s Fair Time in Tennessee!”: NEW events at the 2019 Smith County Fair

This year’s Smith County Fair will include several new and exciting events to enjoy: a Hog Show, a Cat Show, and a Donkey Softball Game.

The first of these new events, the Donkey Softball Game, will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2.

During the game, participants will attempt to play a full game of softball with their donkey.

All participants are William L. Bonnell Employees and their families.

Expect loads of laughs and excitement!

Donkeys for the Donkey Softball game are provided by Circle “A” DonkeyBall.

The next new event, the Hog Show, will take place on Wednesday, July 3, at 6:00 p.m. All entries must be on the fair grounds by 4:30 p.m.

Finally, the Cat Show will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 6. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m.

A $3 entry fee per cat will be collected. All animals must be brought to the grounds in a carrier.

CLASSES

  • Class 1: Kittens 4-8 Month Old – Long Hair
  • Class 2: Kittens 4-8 Month Old – Short Hair
  • Class 3: Adults 9 Months and Over – Long Hair
  • Class 4: Adults 9 Months and Over – Short Hair
  • Class 5: All Ages – No Hair

The 2019 Smith County Fair on the River will be held July 1 through July 6, with pre-fair events beginning on June 29.
