CASA Volunteer Day Scheduled for November 10th

November 2, 2020

CASA, Court Appointed Special Advocates, will host a Volunteer Day on November 10, 2020 in Suite 103 of the Turner Building in Carthage from 9:00 am through 3:00 pm. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are community volunteers, just like you, who stand up and speak out to help children who have been abused and neglected.

The Tennessee CASA program currently serves 5,230 children in 56 counties.

As a CASA Volunteer, you will help an abused or neglected child in our county navigate through the court system working with DCS and the Child/Family team to make sure all the child’s needs are being met and reporting to the court the progress made so that the child can thrive in a safe, loving and permanent home. A great volunteer opportunity to give back to our community. Please call Bernie Morris, Smith County CASA Coordinator, for an appointment and interview at 615-735-0034 or 423-736-5545.
