Smith County 4-H and Smith County FFA are partnering with Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Tennessee FFA Association, and Tennessee 4-H Program in a year-long innovative ATV safety program. The program is sponsored through the generous support of Farm Bureau Health Plans.

Four outstanding Smith County Youth attended a daylong hospital session on August 23 to equip them with the necessary tools to put this ATV safety campaign into action. This session included a mock trauma simulation and hands on learning about the risks involved with improper usage of ATVs.

If you are interested in participating or supporting this important and needed program, please contact Katie Martin in the Smith County Office of the University of Tennessee Extension at 615-735-2900.
