2nd Annual Pitt Hopkins Awareness Day planned for September 21, 2019

September 5, 2019

You are invited to the 2nd Annual Pitt Hopkins Syndrome Awareness Day on Saturday evening, September 21, 2019, at the Smith County Ag Center in Carthage, Tennessee!

The event will begin at 5:00 p.m. and will feature dinner, a live auction, and a prize/cake walk! Meal tickets can be purchased at the door for $10 per adult and $5 for children 5 and under.

This event celebrates Miss Madelyn Dare Sanders, daughter of Jason and Kim Sanders. Madelyn was diagnosed with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome in early 2018. Pitt Hopkins Syndrome is extremely rare with 1 in 250,000 diagnosed.

“Our Little Miss Madelyn Dare is rare!” say Jason and Kim. “The purpose of the fundraising event is to raise awareness for Pitt Hopkins Syndrome (PTHS). Most of this year’s proceeds will go to directly to Madelyn to help fund for needs not covered by insurance. We also plan to send a portion of the proceeds to the Pitt Hopkins Research Foundation to help fund a cure. Please come join us for lots of fellowship, food & fun!”

For more information about the event, please contact Jason or Kim Sanders at (615) 337-9262 or (615) 489-3830.
